Misc. Pictures from the holidays

Jackson and Zoe playing "Elefun".
Jackson and Hunter having a snack.
Avery's new water bottle from Auntie Tasha.
Jackson loved his new dump truck and hat from Jody's work.

To start, here are some misc. pictures taken throughout the holidays that didn't belong in any particular category. The rest of the posts are a bit out of order after this but they are all there so just keep looking. Hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we enjoyed the experiences surrounding them!

Misc. Pictures from the holidays cont.

Avery crawling down the steps.
Avery talking into Jackson's echo microphone. She really got a kick out of it.
Avery playing the piano.
Jackson, Avery and Daddy playing Elefun, a new game Jackson got for Christmas.
Jackson loved wearing the Elefun net as a hat while he played the game as well as any other time :)

Misc. Pictures from the holidays cont.

Jackson making a picture with his new LITE BRITE.
Avery being a big girl and sitting at the big kid table (we don't have a highchair in Medicine Hat for her).
Jackson is actually dancing with his water bottle in this picture. It was so cute.
Jackson, my sister and I made this gingerbread house and Jackson and I decorated gingerbread cookies a different day. He did alot of the decorating himself and was very proud.
These are two old school cabbage patch dolls that were mine when I was little. Apparently they are swimming. ?? (naked?)

Playing with Brayden

In Medicine Hat, we have neighbors who have two children (going on three pretty soon!) and Jackson likes to play with their oldest, Brayden, who is six (Robert is approx. the same age as Avery). They get along great and spent some time together over the holidays playing outside. They also built a snowman and decorated him with things they found in the bushes by our house like a beer cap for a nose ad a long screw for a mouth. Very original. Too bad a chinook came in the next day and melted it. Oh well, Jackson though it was funny when he saw it half melted although it looked a little greusome in my opinion. :)

Playing with Brayden cont.

Cleaning off the patio furniture.
Digging for something. who knows what?

Coming in to throw snow at me.
Jackson throwing snow at me.

Playing at Declan's house

On our way home from Medicine Hat, we stayed over night at Heather (my step-sis) and Josh's house. Jackson got to play with Declan, which he was pretty excited about and they played really well together. Mostly they just played with Declan's impressive train collection. Jackson was sad to go the next morning when we drove away and now he tells me that Declan can come to his house and bring his trains.

Shoveling snow

One of things we have missed by living in Victoria is not having a yard to play in and Jackson loves to shovel the snow. Luckily, while we were in the Hat, it snowed a fair amount and we were able to get out there and shovel. Last year, Jackson would just take snow from the lawn and move it to the driveway but this year he actually helped alot. I gave him an area to shovel and he set to work and I was not allowed to help him or he got upset. Very independent little guy.

Lundbreck Falls frozen

This part was completely frozen except for a small area where you see the circles on the bottom where the water flowed from.

On our way up to Fernie, we stopped at Lundbreck Falls to check it out in the winter because last time we went there, it was summer. Well, I think it was more beautiful in the winter. It was so interesting how the water jsut froze in midstream and how it still flowed nder the ice in certain spots and then exited at the bottom of the waterfall. Very cool. The pictures don't do it justice.

Fernie Proposal !!!!!!!! :)

Well, these are a few pictures from our pre-Christmas trip to Fernie. We stayed in a beautiful ski chalet only 3 minutes from the chair lifts with our own private hottub with a view of the mountain. And, of course, the best part of all was when Jody proposed on top of the mountain! I have attached a picture of the ring (thanks Josh for taking it with your super-camera!).

Christmas Evening with my Family

A few pictures from our evening at my parent's house for Christmas dinner and more present opening. It was great to have my family altogether after being away for so long. We had lots of fun even though Avery was not feeling well. She stuck it out though like a trooper. :)

Christmas morning

Jackson new pajama pants that Great Grandma Lois made him. She made Avery some too but they don;t fit yet. Jackson had to put them on right away. He loved the creatures on them.
Jackson was very concise with his opening of some of his presents in the beginning. After the morning went on though, he became more impatient and strated ripping into his presents.
Avery just chillin' out after a long morning of opening presents. I think she still likes the stroller from the night before with Jody's family the best.
Both kids surrounded with the remnants of present opening.

Here are some of the few pictures we took on Christmas morning. Most of our time was spent opening the presents and filming so we didn't take many. Most are taken after presents were all opened. We had a great time as a family and the kids had lots of fun opening presents; Avery was actually interested this year and could open her own stocking which was nice. I think Jackson liked his stocking the best. :)
